Job Description
Job Summary:


We Mange HR seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join our valued client as a Shipper/Receiver in SE Calgary, AB. This role plays a vital part in the companys supply chain operations, contributing to the smooth flow of products in and out of the facility.


Key Responsibilities:


Shipping and Receiving:


  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against purchase orders.
  • Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate labeling, documentation and quality standards.


Inventory Management:


  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or overages to the supervisor.
  • Ensure the proper storage of products, following safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse layout.


Quality Assurance:


  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards and procedures.
  • Report any discrepancies, damaged items, or product defects to the appropriate personnel.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing products for quality and accuracy.


Equipment Operation:


  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.


Documentation and Reporting:


  • Provide reports and updates to the warehouse supervisor as necessary.
  • Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities.


Safety and Compliance:


  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling goods and operating equipment.


Communication:


  • Communicate any delays or issues related to shipments promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and carriers to coordinate shipments.


RequirementsQualifications:


  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to warehouse operations.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
  • Three years experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


Working Conditions:


  • The position may require lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items.
  • The Shipper/Receiver may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions depending on the warehouse setup.
  • Work hours may include shifts, weekends, and overtime as required to meet operational demands.
  • This role primarily involves working in a machine shop environment.


Note: The hourly wage rate for this position is $23 per hour.
