Plasman Windsor 1 Manufacturing, is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as Shift Superintendent.

The Shift Superintendent will lead, coach, and develop a salaried and hourly team in achieving their goals within a dynamic, fast-paced, three-shift manufacturing environment, at Plasman W1M.

The Role

• Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership and performance management
• Assist in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations
• Drive improvement through influential leadership by demonstrating strong oral/written communication skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, team building, and effective problem solving
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities in all functional areas
• Assist in the overall direction and coordination of manufacturing activities
• Meet and exceed safety, people, quality, responsiveness, cost, and environmental goals
• Lead and coach a diverse workforce to achieve business goals and manufacturing excellence
• Analyze and solve complex manufacturing problems
• Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, production, problem solving, and technical and interpersonal communication skills
• Be an example to all employees in all areas of the business through demonstrated professionalism and the ability to make accurate and timely decisions
• Review and analyze data on all production activities such as optimization of uptime and reduction of downtime to identify improvement opportunities
• Take considerable initiative in decision-making accompanied by a high level of independent discernment
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors to understand and identify any inefficiencies related to maintaining, setting up, or processing parts
• Partner with plant leadership to enhance facility performance and metrics - lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiative and develop innovative practice methods and procedures that add value for the facility

Education & Other Requirements

• Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed some or all of a College level program
• The Shift Superintendent is responsible for complying with the Company Health & Safety Program including Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, regulations, standards, and Company Health & Safety policies
• Must have at least 5-7 years experience in a production environment, in a management capacity, with preference given to those who have 8-10 years experience
• Must be available to work all shifts as needed
