• Experience in a cloud-native development environment using cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Experience with package management tools such as Poetry and Python and testing frameworks such as pytest and unittest
• Integrate with release pipelines to produce test artifacts and reporting
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from design & development to deployment and support
• Support release management of production apps
• Design and monitor automated suites of tests (unit, integration, load) through continuous integration for value added feedback
• Actively engage in the Agile methodology and work collaboratively in sprints
• Familiarity with best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, operations and support
• Degree (major/minor) or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, equivalent field or substantial coursework in relevant disciplines
• Hands-on experience with Linux OS
• Implement frameworks to test complex API and web-based applications that reference multiple databases back-ends and third-party vendors
• Reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes
• Experience in automated RESTful API testing frameworks such as JMeter & Cucumber
• Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices such as Terraform, CloudFormation
• Establish and mature our team's automated testing framework and best practices under a Kubernetes native environment
• Experience with test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests with frameworks such as Pytest & Selenium
• Create automated test cases, complete test suites, review and diagnose reported bugs, and ensure overall system quality before a release
• Working knowledge of SQL databases, containerization and Kubernetes
• 5+ years of employing professional software engineering / automation testing experience
• Code in any functional programming language, including Python
• Read and write technical documentation
• Collaborate with Business Analysts & Underwriters to understand business use-cases and derive testing requirements
