Senior Software Developer

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a Senior Software Developer with 7+ years of experience in software development and delivery, implementation experience in a big data ecosystem and integration of data analytics workflows and modeling into production software, and 2+ years working with Cloud development experience to place at our client, a leader in the Aviation industry.

Client: A leader in the Aviation industry.

Terms: 1 year contract.

Location: Richmond, BC. Onsite 1-2 days/week

:

• Take feature level ownership, including design, development, CI/CD, sufficient monitoring and alarming to key features of SaaS
• Mentor lower-level software engineers on technologies, processes, and domain knowledge
• Dive deep into cloud services and solutions and understand GCP, Azure or AWS
• Think big on the future of our products, and work closely with tech lead and architect in improving current systems on HA, Scalability, Fault Tolerance, HA, performance and Operation Excellence.
• Perform and manage the activities involved with the development, documenting, interfacing, integration, testing and support of complex software
• Collaborate with team members, PO, Product Managers in an Agile environment

Must Haves

• Implementation experience in a big data ecosystem and integration of data analytics workflows and models into production software.
• Experience with Python
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
• 7+ years of progressive experience in software development and delivery

Nice to Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience working with Cloud development
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure or AWS
• Aviation and Aerospace industry experience
• Experience working in a global technology organization
