Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following items: space planning and furniture plans, working drawings, elevations, sections and details.


  • Supports the development and preparation of design concept presentations to the client
  • Develops and/or review space planning, ensuring all scope elements have been incorporated
  • Ensure all drawings (plans, elevations, details) meet building code
  • Develops the working drawings and specification package
  • Ensure that the concept as approved by the client has been translated into the working drawings and design integrity is upheld


SKILLS:

  • Must have a strong technical interior design understanding
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word)
  • Must have a strong sense of design detail
  • AutoCAD, XREF (plans, elevations, architectural and millwork details)
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality while working on a project
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects and remain organized


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.A.A. - Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design from a recognized University or College
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience primarily in custom residential, with some knowledge of architectural design--or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
