At CKDESIGN we work closely with our clients to identify and deliver purposeful hospitality and corporate design solutions. Every design is carefully curated through inspiration, vision, and collaboration. Our studio is Design Director Lead, ensuring every project from concept to completion exceeds expectations.
As our Calgary based Senior Interior Designer, you will liaise with clients and the principal to conceptualize a vision and transform it into a reality. Reporting to the principal, you will contribute to the team by assisting and supporting other designers with project demands, supervising and mentoring junior designers, and providing unique insight on all aspects of design.
All our Senior Designers are experienced in cultivating relationships, comprehensive problem solving, and critical thinking. You will leverage your interpersonal and technical skills to holistically manage projects, with minimal supervision. As a Senior Interior Designer you will be expected to plan, manage, and control all construction administration issues and documentation with a high level of accuracy.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5 Years of Commercial Interior Design Experience in Canada
• Minimum - Interior Design Bachelors Degree
• Currently holding LID, AAA status OR Intern LID eligibility
PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Working primarily on AutoCAD/Sketchup/Enscape;
• Site verification, site measurement, furniture inventory, and equipment inventory;
• Programming, space planning, conceptual design and use of code with minimalassistance;
• Prepare working drawings and specifications for tender documents;
• Managing client relationships & client satisfaction, interfacing in meetings, presentations and visits;
• Coordinating and leading projects with design director/principal;
• Product specification and support; coordination of mechanical and electrical consultant drawings;
• Conduct tender calls, prepare addenda’s, and interpret drawings to contractors and preparetender analysis;
• Contract administration including office paper work and site work.
• Mentoring and supporting other design team members.
