We are always looking for professional and talented people to join our team of experienced Architects, Interior Designers, Architectural Technologists and Contract Administrators.
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
Are you an innovative and talented Intermediate Interior Designers with a Professional degree in Interior Design (BID) from an accredited program to join our team of design professionals and industry-leading technical staff.The successful candidate will be disciplined, creative and an enthusiastic individual who is able to translate our client’s requirements into exciting interior designs, reflecting our pursuit of design excellence, which includes:
·Work with the design and architectural technology teams
·Create, develop and execute innovative design concepts that are aligned with the intended purpose of the project
·Prepare working drawings and detail drawings for all projects in Revit
·Produce sample boards for client presentations
·Understand the full extent of interior systems and construction methods and the information required to fully communicate with design intent
·Implement drawing standards and project processes
·Assist with training of junior staff
·Coordinate with consultants, contractors and vendors
·Produce high quality planning and design deliverables that exceed client expectations
·Work on multiple projects at a time
·You will liaise with some consultants, clients, project managers and approving authorities.
·May be a project lead on small to medium size projects
·Keep current with innovative and forward-thinking design including research on materials
·Attend internal and external team meeting and provide status updates
·Assist with Contract administration including show drawing reviews
·Lead by example in all areas of work
·Other design tasks as required

QUALITIES & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The chosen candidate must possess
·Legally entitled to work in Canada
·Excellent Design Skills
·A professional and energetic attitude
·A degree in interior design (BID) from an accredited institution
·5 or more years of experience in interior design
·Excellent communication and presentation skills
·Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for collaboration and teamwork.
·Proven problem-solving skills
·An ability to work on multiple projects at one time
·Effective time management skills and an ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
·Experience with Microsoft Office, Revit, SketchUp, InDesign and AutoCAD
·Working knowledge of building codes
·Able to clearly express concepts in 3D through 3D modeling or freehand sketching
·Have a solid understanding of current planning theories and best practices
