Role Description And Expectations
As the Senior Director, Operations & Resourcing - Creative Production, you will be responsible for managing and developing the operations and workflow of Klick’s production projects and resources. You are the person who keeps things running while also being responsible for supporting the Executive Producer with financial insights and analysis, keeping the production budgets, burn and profitability top of mind while also supporting creative quality with the Supervising Producers.
In this role, you will also support the Executive Producer, Klick’s Project Management Office and divisional leadership teams to ensure appropriate resourcing and production support internally as we play the long game. Fundamentally, you are a proactive strategist who will help create and manage the foundation of a highly productive team that supports all departments at Klick while also optimizing the flow of the work and operations with a focus on clarity creation.
Key Accountabilities
  • Support and help to lead the expansion of our production offering by optimizing operations for current and new services, including: video/motion, art/stills, producing, trafficking & distribution, and more
  • Collaborate with the Supervising Producers on the needs of production requests in order to resource expertise effectively and also assess our team’s capacity to deliver for future work
  • Develop plans for resource management across Production and integrate with the Creative department at large to ensure a consistent and optimized workflow.
  • Ensure quality production resourcing for all production projects and help track the capacity of the team considering organizational health, quality of the work and forecasting for team expansion in brand planning. This includes consideration of producers, business affairs team, video and freelancers.
  • Lead resourcing infrastructure creation and support the operations-side of our human power planning, for example: forecasting talent-type needs, freelance recruitment, management system
  • Support Production Operations leadership, department leadership and key agency stakeholders as a creative shared service leader specializing in the development and implementation of production workflows, resourcing optimizations and delivering special internal projects
  • Provide operational, financial & workflow leadership and ownership for the Production team and its various service offerings, including: producers, business affairs, makers
  • Propose, create, own, manage and approve all templates, key documents and internal processes for production work, operational work and resourcing

  • Hard Skills
  • Change-management expert with proven case examples of operational overhauls completed within a department and cross-functionally
  • Multi-million-dollar budget and/or P&L management experience
  • Financial analysis and agency-model financial assessment skills and experience
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • 8+ years of experience in operations with at least 5 years spent in a production environment
  • Must be able to create systems in Excel and have work examples to share
  • Masters Degree, complimentary degree or other professional designations considered an asset
  • Experience working in an agency setting is necessary
  • 3+ years of agency resourcing and capacity forecasting experience
  • Strong leadership skills, great team player and has the ability to grow a team
  • An AMAZING template maker and process wizard
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate
  • 4+ years of process creation experience with case examples specifically relating to workflow
  • Must be confident and capable to architect and author compelling processes in decks to socialize operational work in high-visualized and dynamic way
  • Continued education credits are considered an asset
  • Advanced skills in: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Suite
  • Equivalent work experience in related field is an asset
  • Sound judgment and decisive problem-solving abilities
