Scrum Master - Finance Pmo

Our Calgary based client requires a Certified Scrum Master who will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of Scrum, Agile theory, methodology, techniques, rules, and practices, estimating/sizing, planning, forecasting, reporting, conflict resolution and facilitation to ensure execution of sprints on time by facilitating daily scrums, sprint planning and retrospectives. To deliver the foundation teams need to better communicate, innovate with purpose, and execute with speed and predictability.
You will promote rigorous quality and multi-disciplinary collaboration, You provide mentoring and guidance and champion continuous improvement, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture in every team you engage with.

End: January 09 2024
Location: 100% Remote/ Calgary MT work hours
Skills & Experience

• Working knowledge of lean principles and Agile at scale.
• Superior decision-making, consensus building and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to facilitate group discussions and meetings with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills both in person and written.
• Knowledge of current and emerging agile industry trends and best practices and internal or external business issues to improve team efficiency.
• Certified Scrum Master and 5+ years of Scrum Master experience.
• Good rapport with technical teams and ability to promote change and alignment among our teams.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of agile principles.
• Experience with Jira or other tools utilized in an agile development environment.
• Supports an environment where team freely escalates challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of successes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The Scrum Master will drive the appropriate Agile methodology focused on consistent, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the teams. The approach focuses on teamwork and flexibility, with the goal of increasing efficiency.

• Support the business team to create clear goals and product backlog.
• Proactively identify impediments to the business team and appropriately resolve them.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and events including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
