- Develop plans for increasing the productivity of production lines and implement improvements to reduce downtime.
- Consider each stage of the production process to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Dispatch the order files to shipping on daily basis.
- Optimize schedule to reflect progress & plan changes.
- Batch the orders for daily production and distribute relevant paperwork for production lines.
- Review schedule with production departments, sales, and shipping.
- Schedule daily shift and forecast schedules to balance capacity.
- Create and review daily schedules per the production plan and resource availability.
- Ensure smooth and seamless operation of the production, packaging, and distribution departments.
- Provide regular status reports to management regarding project progress to meet schedules.
- Co-ordinate with accounting for the order clearance.
- Experience using production planning and/or scheduling software is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Diploma or Bachelor degree in a production/manufacturing or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced office environment in similar job role.
- Advanced proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear criminal background check.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
- Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0 llbs to 20 llbs.
- Work in a office environment.
- Willing to overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
