About Us


The Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects (ICCE) is an Indigenous-founded, Indigenous-led, and exclusively Indigenous-serving organization that supports Indigenous communities in addressing cumulative effects through a Two-Eyed Seeing approach. Our primary objective is to build and enhance the technical and scientific capacity of Indigenous communities across Canada, based on the values of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. As a resource, we provide funding for community-led projects, share knowledge, and link Indigenous communities together, working towards intergenerational decision-making and partnership building.


About You


You have extensive experience with the Salesforce platform, preferably with more than one organization. You have the ability to develop custom solutions, optimize solutions with clean architecture, and smooth integrations with other software that showcases your commitment to create a seamless user experience, while gathering data in a format that enables decision-making. You are a team player with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, valuing input from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. You can work independently and thrive in situations where there is a clear outcome, and the roads to getting there are yours to suggest and implement.

About The Role


Your primary responsibilities will involve developing and maintaining ICCE’s system while implementing custom solutions to support the Community Funding Program (CFP), and other future programs. You will collaborate with the Head of Product & Services, Program Officer and other team members to help reach our program needs, optimize system performance, and ensure software integrations are seamless for both internal and external users.


In addition to your technical expertise, you will be responsible for documenting system requirements, providing standardized user training, and ensuring the platform adheres to best practices for privacy as well as security standards. As part of continuous improvement, you will proactively identify areas for enhancement and work with the team to implement improvements in line with the organization's objectives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Document system requirements and support others as they develop user training
  • Integrate the Salesforce platform with other applications as required
  • Identify and implement areas for system enhancement and improvement
  • Collaborate with team members to understand system requirements and optimize system performance
  • Ensure platform adherence to best practices and security/privacy standards
  • Maintain ICCE’s Salesforce system as per updates from Salesforce including the retirement of software issues and security/privacy updates
  • Develop, and implement custom solutions on the Salesforce platform

Requirements


  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Salesforce Developer Certification(s) is preferred, a Trailblazer.me ID of super badges also acceptable
  • Knowledge of REACT is an asset
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce development technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with Salesforce integration, including REST and SOAP APIs
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong understanding of the platform and its capabilities
  • Degree or certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a combination of education and related field experience
  • Knowledge of or experience with Indigenous communities is an asset
