Job Summary:

As a Retail Store Designer, you will play a vital role in creating innovative and visually appealing retail environments that enhance the customer experience and drive sales. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for designing and implementing store layouts, fixtures, and displays that align with the brand's aesthetic and meet functional requirements. With your keen eye for detail, creative mindset, and understanding of retail trends, you will contribute to the overall success of our retail spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Fixture and Display Design: Create innovative fixture and display concepts that enhance product presentation, promote brand messaging, and drive customer engagement.
• Collaborative Design Process: Work closely with internal teams, including merchandising, marketing, and operations, as well as external vendors and contractors, to ensure seamless execution of store designs.
• Space Planning: Collaborate with the merchandising and operations teams to ensure efficient and effective use of retail space, including product placement, category adjacencies, and traffic patterns.
• Material and Finishes Selection: Source and select appropriate materials, finishes, and textures that align with the brand's aesthetic, durability requirements, and budget constraints.
• Fixture and Display Prototyping: Develop prototypes and mock-ups to test and validate design concepts, functionality, and visual appeal.
• 3D Visualization: Utilize design software and tools to create 3D renderings, floor plans, and visual presentations to communicate design concepts and ideas to stakeholders.
• Store Design and Layout: Develop compelling store designs that optimize space, traffic flow, and product visibility while adhering to brand standards and guidelines.
• Budget Management: Assist in developing project budgets and timelines, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising design quality.
• Stay Current with Retail Trends: Continuously research and stay updated on the latest retail design trends, technologies, and industry best practices to incorporate innovative design elements into store layouts and displays.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools for creating 3D renderings and floor plans.
• Portfolio showcasing previous retail store design projects and design process.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and the ability to think conceptually while considering practical constraints.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving design requirements and project scopes.
• Proven experience as a retail store designer, preferably in a retail or brand environment.
• Strong understanding of retail store operations, merchandising principles, and customer behavior within a physical retail environment.
• Excellent visual and spatial design skills, with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present design concepts to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques relevant to retail fixtures and displays.
