Registered Practical Nurse (Rpn) For Paediatric Homecare

The Care Company is looking for an awesome, self-driven Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to assist us with Paediatric home care, working with children between the ages of 3 months-18 years old with all daily activities.
Shifts

• Day or night shifts available
• Someone who can commit to an ongoing, weekly schedule (days and times are flexible as long as they are consistent)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needs
• Assists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as required
• Observe the patients' medical health as well as their physical and mental responses
• Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medications administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Practical Nurse
• Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly
• Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description

Requirements
Must have Paediatric experience with any of the following interventions:

• Cough assist
• G and J tube feeding
• Seizure monitoring
• Ventilators
• Tracheostomy suctioning
• Oxygenation
• Bi-pap or C-pap

Other requirements include:

• CNO Registration and Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Certificate
• An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
• Negative TB Test completed within the last year
• COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
• Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.
• Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
