Work with us to positively impact a billion brains!Job SummaryWe are seeking a full-time Registered Occupational Therapist at the Surrey Neuroplasticity Clinic (SNPC).Join our team of dedicated therapists, researchers, and scientists as we strive toward impacting 1 billion brains. The successful candidate will utilize a broad range of skills and experience in providing therapeutic services to populations with Concussion & Brain Injury, Chronic Pain, Neurological Conditions, Musculoskeletal Injuries, and Mental Health related challenges.ResponsibilitiesProviding care to clients presenting with various injuries and conditionsActive participation in team conferences/ rounds involving clients and interdisciplinary team membersIndependently manage caseload with support from team lead and adminProvide and carry out consultation and treatment plans to clientsProvide ongoing support for clientsMaintenance of accurate electronic clinical recordsRegular communication and collaboration with health team members (internally and externally) and referral sourcesQuality report writingOngoing involvement in professional development independently and with the teamOther duties as requiredQualifications and ExperienceCurrently registered and in good standing with College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC)Master's Degree (Required) – MSc, MOT2+ years experience preferredClinical experience with post-concussion, neurological populations, mental health challenges an assetMust have an active driver’s license (Class 5) and own vehicle to driveAbility to do work in clinic and in the community (e.g., home visits, job site visits, community walks with a client)Previous experience with ICBC, LTD, and/or WorkSafeBC (e.g., OT Services, ECAT) referrals an asset1 year experience in a Return to Work setting an assetExcellent communication and report-writing skills; strong interpersonal skillsThe Finer DetailsThis is a full-time position, 40 hours/ weekOur Clinic is located at 13737 96th Avenue, SurreyProposed start date: As soon as possibleTreatment sessions are booked one-on-one on average for ~60 minutes with time to complete charting. Initial consultation sessions could be longer, depending on the situation.
