Job Summary

Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of all refrigeration systems. The main job objective is to ensure maximum uptime of machinery and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Responsible for maintaining refrigeration equipment including ammonia compressors, Freon systems, evaporator coils, condensers.
• Installation and aligning of large HP electrical motors.
• Operating, hoisting, and lifting devices to position machinery during the installation, set up and repair.
• Coordinate tasks of 3rd party refrigeration contractors as required.
• Hands on operation and oversight of ammonia refrigeration systems
• Knowledge of pressure vessels and TSSA requirements is an asset.
• Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Respond and react to system automated alarms and notifications.

Working Conditions:

• This job requires working in a refrigerated and freezer environment.
• This is a stable position in a shop environment within a fully automated facility.
• Overtime is required on occasion.

Qualifications:

• Class A or B Refrigeration Ticket is an asset
