What is the opportunity?


As the Receptionist/Admin Assistant for RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM), you will be the initial point of contact for our Downtown Vancouver Office. You will be responsible for greeting and receiving clients, guests and staff in a professional and courteous manner. As a valued member of the Office Administration team, you will also assist with administrative duties as required. For more information, please visit: https://www.rbcgam.com/en/ca


What will you do?


  • Office administration requirements include; maintaining various employee lists, ordering business cards, Health & Safety committee support, other administrative task as assigned.
  • Entering and reconciling Expense Reports in Concur for GAM Managers
  • Answer and direct all incoming calls on a multi-line switchboard
  • Coordinate and manage bookings for meeting rooms; arrange catering as required
  • Assist the Business Operations and Finance team with coding invoice and Accounts Payable payment investigations
  • Assist with maintenance of staff kitchens and meeting rooms; including ordering supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and liaising with the office maintenance teams as needed


What do you need to succeed?


Must Have


  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for emails and meetings
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills


Nice to Have


  • 1-3 years’ experience in the financial industry
  • Previous experience in a professional office environment
