Job Description

Your new company:

This organization is a well-established non-for-profit organization that specializes in providing health programs to First Nations communities across British Columbia. They have an inclusive working environment and have multiple offices across the province. Due an influx of work within the team, they are seeking an experienced receptionist / administrative assistant to join them for a 3-month contract at their West Vancouver office.

Your new role:

You will be working out of their West Vancouver office within the corporate services department. This is a full-time role, in office. Your duties include:

  • Receiving, distribution and compiling of mail/packages
  • Answer and or redirect all incoming communication to reception via phone, email and in person to appropriate department
  • Ordering supplies coffee, office supplies
  • Logistical duties coffee runs/orders, photocopying/faxing, booking meeting rooms
  • You will greet guests and manage the reception desk

What you'll need to succeed:

  • They particularly welcome applications from people with Indigenous ancestry (First Nations, Inuit, Métis).
  • To be considered for this position you must be available for an immediate start with valid working rights in Canada.
  • You will be comfortable using MS Office.
  • You will have excellent customer service skills and organizational skills.

You will work with an organization with strong values in implementing cultural safety into health services. You will receive weekly pay while contracting with Hays. This is a three-month contract with potential to extend and you will receive full-time hours and have the flexibility to work partially remote.
