About the Role: Reporting to the Quality Assurance Person, the Quality Assurance Assistant is responsible for supporting compliance requirements as set out by Health Canada. The Quality Assurance Administrator will execute quality assurance activities related to the review and approval of the GPP documents such as batch records, protocols and procedures.


Days/Hours: Monday – Friday (weekends and evenings required as needed).


Responsibilities:

· Responsible for issuance and record keeping (both hard copy and electronic records) of controlled documentation such as batch documents, sanitation logs, and other Quality Management System (QMS) documents.

· Organize and maintain filing and archiving system for all QMS related documentation.

· Perform reviews of manufacturing batch documents, including cultivation and production and issue status labels, as per QMS schedule.

· Participate in investigation of complaints, non-conformances/deviations and CAPA.

· Support internal regulatory compliance by working with production teams to establish and/or improve processes by reviewing and/or providing input regarding existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), controlled forms and policies.

· Support internal compliance initiatives as required under Health Canada regulations and guidance.

· Responsible for ensuring timely submission of product samples for analytical testing.

· Responsible for reviewing incoming raw materials and monitoring approved suppliers.

· Administrative or other duties pertaining to the Quality Assurance Department, as assigned by the QAP.

· Other tasks that may be assigned from the Company.


Qualifications:

· Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution (University or College) is required.

· Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility such as cannabis, food processing, and/or agriculture.

· Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail required.

· Previous experience in drafting standard operating procedures (SOP’s), validation protocols and quality records is required.

· Must be able to excel in a team environment and communicate effectively.

· Must have ability to introduce new initiatives independently and complete assigned tasks within agreed timeframe.

What Will Set You Apart:

· Previous and direct work experience with a Canadian Cannabis License Holder in a quality role is considered as an asset.

· Previous working experience in GAP, GPP, GMP, HACCP regulated environment.

· A valid Health Canada security clearance.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously


Pay: will be based on the candidates work experience and level of education


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Salary: $37,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
