Destiny is Calling: Looking for Therapists and Volunteers to join the An Elegant Mind Counselling Inc. family.

We are looking for heart-centred, soulful people with:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (Registered Social Workers).
• Student volunteers who can assist with admin work
• A Master’s degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, who is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
• An MD in Psychiatry, who is interested in providing therapy and KAP.
• A PhD in Counselling or Clinical Psychology, who is a Registered Psychologist (R. Psych) in BC.
• Post-practicum Interns from UBC, SFU, etc,

We would like to hear from you if have an interest in working in our following niches:

• Sex Therapy issues (LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive)
• (However, we also attract a lot of general therapy concerns such as depression, anxiety, transitions, self-awareness, etc.)
• Psychedelics (Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, psychedelic integration and harm reduction counselling)
• Clinical Assessment
• Couples & Relationships

We also trained to work with ICBC cases (Motor Vehicle Accidents), and immigration report writing This kind of work allows for opportunities for collaboration with lawyers, and other medical professionals.

LOCATION:

We are located at 300-1090 Homer Street, Vancouver, a 4 minute walk from Yaletown Skytrain station. We are on the Regus floor. Plenty of restaurant, workout and takeout options within half a block.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:

Develop your clinical skills in an environment where administrative support is taken care of. Join a community of collaborative clinical support, love for one another and the work that we do. We are highly proficient users of Jane for our booking and client management system. There is an in-person receptionist to greet clients as they enter 8:30AM to 5PM. Coffee is available for clients in the lobby. We have additional phone reception service on Saturdays. We have virtual Medical Office Assistance from 8:30-5:30.

CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT OFFERINGS

• Our growing clinical materials include: EMDR hand buzzers, therapy books, textbooks, workbooks and handheld fidget toys for neurodivergent adults, art therapy supplies.
• Quarterly alignment meetings with the Director
• We have monthly supervision meetings with an experienced sex therapy, psychedelic-competent supervisor (RCC).

HOURS:

You will have the option to design your own hours and to see clients in-person and online.

PRE-REQUISITES:

• A desire to support the vision and community we're building
• Proof of valid BC professional therapy liscence in good standing
• A team player attitude
• Experience with Jane, GSuite and/or quick to pick up use of softwares
