Job Description

Project Administrators


Job Summary:

Our client, a Regina-based crown corporation, is in need of several experienced Project Administrators to support Senior Project and Program Managers within their Major Capital Projects PMO. This is a 3-year contract opportunity, ending in summer of 2026, with opportunities for extension through to the end of 2028. This group is responsible for delivering major engineering and commercial projects across the province.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Work in the PS module within SAP
  • Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned
  • Assist PM in change and risk management
  • Collaborate with project team members and stakeholders to identify and manage project scope.
  • --Maintain effective work relationships with co-workers and staff in other departments and business units
  • Assist PM in tracking progress of project
  • Work with the Project Manager to prioritize work to meet deadlines and time constraints.
  • --Work within the corporate values of respect, integrity and openness
  • Assist PM in creating project status reports and establish trends:
  • --Be cooperative and tactful when communicating with others
  • --Interface with various personnel associated with the management and administration of capital projects
  • Assist PM in day-to-day work (word processing, excel spreadsheets, power point presentations, etc.)
  • Assist PM with project meetings
  • Assist PM in procurement management and material coordination
  • --Compile all pertinent information into regular reports and circulate to various levels of management.
  • --Gather and assemble project cost and schedule data as required by the Project Manager - Review output to ensure validity of the data
  • Practice and promote safe work habits
  • --Respond to queries from both internal and external sources
  • Create and update scheduling data, follow up on progress of activities with responsible department.



Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Must have a continuing record of career development.
  • Previous project management, and/or Primavera P6 Scheduling experience would be a definite asset.
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing a variety of computer applications, especially advanced skills in Word / Excel / Power Point / Visio.
  • University degree / Technical Diploma / Certificate in business administration / project management
  • Ability to work primarily on-site in either Regina or Saskatoon. There is some flexibility around scheduling, but full-time remote work is not an option.
  • Good command of the English language (both oral and written)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Project management support.
