Dr. Richa Pandey, Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, and Dr. Aditya Nittala, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary, Canada, are seeking a postdoctoral candidate with Ph.D. and a strong publication record with an exceptional passion for advancing the Wearable Biosensor field. We seek a team member to spearhead and shape the project over 2-3 years. We will provide a dynamic and supportive interdisciplinary environment with dedicated mentoring and excellent opportunities for continued career development.
Responsibilities:
You will lead a project on developing and validating a multiplexed wearable biosensor funded by the NFRF-Exploration grant. You will use and advance new device fabrication approaches developed by our groups. You will use and advance biochemical and molecular diagnostic approaches to develop a new assay for a sweat analyte and its integration with other electrophysiological modalities. You will also supervise graduate and undergraduate students, gaining leadership experience in collaborative projects and contributing to grant applications and high-impact publications.
Qualifications:
§Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Computer Science (HCI background), or related area with a strong publication record.
§Fluent in written and spoken English and demonstrated excellence in scientific writing.
§Demonstrated exceptional communication and analytical skills.
§Demonstrated hands-on expertise in wearable biosensor development, device design and fabrication, additive manufacturing of sensors, analytical and clinical testing and validation, and electrophysiological testing.
§Strong statistical foundation and expertise in data analysis.
§Expertise in AI/ML, aptamers selection, biochemistry, material synthesis, and mechanical testing will be an asset.
