Job Description
Summary


Are you a stickler for details and someone who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environments? Do you have 3-5 years of experience in planning and working with material resource planning systems? If so, we encourage you to apply to our Planner, Cell Separation role!


As a Planner, you’ll be responsible for managing the inventory levels of products / materials within your assigned portfolio in order to meet customer demand, while minimizing costs associated with inventory storage and management. You’ll optimize operational efficiency, maximize cash flow and ensure inventory buffers are maintained. You’ll also get the chance to collaborate with internal operations teams to identify inventory issues and propose solutions.


Please note: This is a 14 month contract with potential for future permanent employment.



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter production plans to meet unforeseen conditions ensuring that backorders are promptly acted on and fulfilled
  • Ensure materials are available for production and finished goods are available for purchase
  • Manage inventory levels under the Cell-Separation portfolio including reviewing production plans according to availability of materials, resources and capacity with the team lead
  • Work cross-functionally with various departments to effectively and efficiently align supply and demand
  • Participate on operational teams dealing with product maintenance
  • Maintain data integrity in ERP system for materials (incl. lead time, stocking unit of measure, etc.)
  • Plan and prioritize production requirements using SAP ERP in combination with Demand Driven MRP Software, R+


Knowledge And Qualifications


  • 3-5+ years of Planning experience in a production environment utilizing a material resource planning system
  • Knowledge of Google Suite and/or MS Office programs (strong Google Sheets or MS Excel skills required)
  • Degree in Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Science
  • Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • ERP/MRP system experience required (experience using DDMRP systems such as R+, as well as previous experience with SAP considered assets)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally and collaborate with team members
