Job Description
Closing the Gap is a leading and fully accredited healthcare organization that seeks an experienced and certified Physiotherapist who has a passion for Home Care and cares about excellent standards and using best practices in healthcare delivery.


As a Physiotherapist, you will assist clients in rehabilitating physical problems caused by illness, injury, disability, or aging, through treatment. You would be planning treatments, reviewing recovery, and conducting therapeutic exercises with patients in the comfort and safety of their homes.

Responsibilities


  • Conducting complex mobilization techniques.
  • Formulating treatment plans to address the conditions and needs of clients.
  • Conducting assessments of clients' physical conditions.
  • Referring client(s) to doctors and other medical practitioners.
  • Educating clients, their family members, and the community on how to prevent injuries and live a healthy lifestyle.
  • Assisting trauma clients/patients with how to walk again.
  • Planning and organizing physiotherapy and fitness programs.


Requirements


Experience:


  • Have knowledge of legislation, regulations, and policies applicable to practice
  • Current active registration and is in good standing as a Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario


Education:


  • Degree in a College of Physiotherapy program


Skills & Attributes:


  • Should have Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) within 12 months of hire (or in process), with a current Criminal Records Check
  • Be able to manage time and workload effectively
  • Eligible to work in the Greater Toronto Area of Canada
  • Have a Valid Driver’s License(G2/G) and the use of a reliable insured vehicle- asset
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
