The Physiotherapist (PT) works as a member of the interprofessional inpatient trauma, burn and complex care rehabilitation team. The PT utilizes a person-centred approach in considering the occupational performance issues, component skills and environmental factors having an impact on the functional level of their patients, in preparation for discharge to the community.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Successful completion of a recognized post-secondary program in Physiotherapy.
- Competence in the practice of evidence-based physiotherapy and interprofessional care, with experience in the application of practice models and outcome measures relevant to trauma/burn rehabilitation.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in the area of trauma or burn rehabilitation is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent professional judgment, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, team members, students and community partners.
