Job Description
Are you a Licensed Pharmacist with prior background in team leadership and overall operations management? We are supporting our client operating a non-retail pharmacy in the Medicine Hat area with their search for a leader with experience in providing excellence in clinical services & patient care to join their team. This manager would be responsible for oversight of the pharmacy's operations and staff, including a variety of pharmacy service offerings, while ensuring exceptional team culture and effective delivery. You will work with the staff members of the dispensary and collaborate with senior leadership to ensure excellence for this location in terms of people, process and service. The pharmacy is looking for a hands-on leader who is keen on the prospect of working in the non-retail space and helping them to continue to be a leader in the Red Deer market.   • Regular hours of operation are Monday through Sunday oriented around a 8 AM - 6 PM schedule with shortened hours on weekends; you would work a 40-hour schedule during this time and as a leader at this pharmacy additional hours may be required as dictated by business needs

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring service excellence in pharmacy service delivery and patient care
  • Supporting special projects to increase new business opportunities for the pharmacy
  • Working collaboratively with nursing and clinical staff, patient support teams and distribution groups to ensure service excellence, and ensuring patient care and safety are optimized
  • Developing and managing relationships to support the business and maintain strong morale within the team
  • Working alongside the team as required to support operations and understand areas for process optimization
  • Coordinating the overall operation and daily activities in collaboration with other leaders in the organization
  • Managing various supervisors/leads and ensuring the pharmacy staff are successful in meeting operational goals
  • Supporting business planning and plan implementation at the pharmacy level and ensuring financial goals are met
  • Completing administrative duties relating to tracking and reporting on pharmacy services provided
  • Ensuring compliance with College of Pharmacy operations requirements
Qualifications
  • Operations know-how and experience including compliance, people, process, financials and business development/growth, KPI measurement and ensuring standards are met and implemented
  • Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
  • A valid Pharmacist license in Alberta and good standing with the College of Pharmacy (ACP) is required
  • Prior leadership experience, either as a designated manager or as a leader of people through responsibility, is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills & collaborative abilities are a must
