TheKey formerly Home Care Assistance is looking for Certified PSW to become a part of our team and join our mission of Changing the Way the World Ages.

The ideal candidate should be one who can provide mental and social stimulation to our mostly elderly or senior clients, in addition, to be able to fulfil technical PSW / Caregiver duties.

: PSWs in Waterloo and nearby areas, whose main responsibilities will contribute to managing activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintain the autonomy of clients. Applicants of interest will work primarily with the elderly in autonomous, semi-autonomous and total care conditions.

Main responsibilities:

• Providing basic care relating to clients’ ADLs and IADL’s
• Assistance with bathing, toileting, and dressing
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with walking, exercise, and mobility

Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must have PSW Certification
• Clear Criminal Reference Check
• Minimum 2 professional references
• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
• Immunization Records
• Government ID
• Valid First Aid / CPR certification (Level-C)
• 2 Step TB test

Working conditions: Position: Days, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends Status: Full and part-time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Salary: $18.50-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Morning shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Whitby, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• PSW Certificate (preferred)
