Personal Support Worker Jobs

Hiring a PSW for a retirement residence in Wiarton, ON.

Responsibilities:

• Incorrect fridge temperatures should be managed.
• Manage maintenance requests by promptly completing them. Verify that anything that has been finished has been acknowledged in the book.
• In charge of carrying out blood tests or urine samples ordered by the resident doctor
• Staff creation, completion, and filing
• Manage any resident emergency
• In charge of calling the proper service provider to solve any HVAC, electrical, or plumbing concerns
• In charge of any residential deliveries; file any additional paperwork.
• In charge of any necessary worker or Community Care visit that comes to see a resident.
• In charge of maintaining inventory lists for paper products, PPE, and laundry
• Control new medications that Medisystem is delivering
• Ensure that the resident file receives any follow-up reports.

Qualifications:

• Personal Support Worker Certificate an asset
• First Aid and Food Handler's certification considered an asset.
• Completion of high school successfully or an equivalent.
• A criminal background check will be required.

Shift timings:11pm-7am

Job type: Fulltime

Payrate: $18-22/hr
