Job Description
Adecco is urgently hiring for a temporary, full-time Payroll Clerk to work at a globally-known company that specializes in the construction and painting industry in Saskatoon, SK. This is a 3-month contract position with an opportunity for extension, where you will be responsible for all payroll duties. To qualify for this role, you must have a previous experience in a payroll role as well as excellent communication skills, high accuracy, and a clear understanding of Microsoft Suite.   • Ensure employee charges and garnishments are reconciled after every pay date and given to A/P after the last pay period of the month
  • Responsible for accurate and timely entry of records of employment, letters for confirmation of employment and Lay off and termination notices.
  • Verify payroll for accuracy, and process the payroll for payment to the employees
  • Vacation pay paid out on each weekly pay cheque
  • Ensure all time and pay details for employees are accurately entered into the computerized accounting system
  • Perform other duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is crucial for success in this role
  • A grade 12 Diploma is required
  • Job type: Full-time | Contract work with the possibility of extension Here's why you should apply:
  • Liaison between headquarters and union office for all ICC employee inquiries
  • Support all managers and employees in the field and office in regard to all payroll and employee inquiries
  • Work with Accounts Receivable and the various sites to ensure that all data entry matches the Labour, Equipment, and Material (LEM's) report for time and material jobs
  • For accuracy, check the regular time, overtime, double time, travel, work orders, and wage rates
  • Familiarize and understand entirely union contract
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for success
  • Accurately reconcile the union dues on a monthly basis and submit them to the Accounts Payable department
  • A combination of education and work experience will be considered
  • Accurately set up employees in accounting software, ensuring all forms are filled out appropriately, including bank information, tax information, etc.,
  • Valid Saskatchewan driver's license is needed
  • Ensure the collection of all new tax and address information yearly upon the new release of the TD1 and TD1SK forms from CRA
  • Must be personable and work well in a team environment
  • Location: Saskatoon, SK(North Corman Industrial Park)
  • College Diploma or Certificate from a recognized business school is a must
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Pay rate: $23-25/hour (depending on experience)
