Job Description
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (CSBP) is nationally recognized as a best business, innovator, and leader in Canada's tourism industry. As part of the security team, the Park Guide Team member is expected to uphold the company’s vision, 'creating experiences people are amazed by'. The Park Guide Team Member is service oriented and collaborates with the Operations team to create an amazing and safe guest experience.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Deliver tours that are engaging, informative, and punctual as scheduled and instructed
  • Escort, host and serve tour groups based on their itinerary and preferences
  • Provide educational information in an engaging and fun manner regarding the nature and wildlife in the rainforest
  • Actively participate in enriching your knowledge of the Capilano’s history and the rainforest
  • Follow scheduled daily rotation in an efficient and punctual manner
  • Run tour attraction safety positions as trained
  • Accurately answer Guests’ questions with an upbeat, positive and professional attitude
  • Maintain strong communication and professional relationships with Park Ambassadors and Guest Service Agents as well as other departments
  • Be familiar with the information and history of the Capilano Suspension Bridge


Qualifications:


  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Team Members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time
  • Positive, friendly, outgoing, and energetic personality
  • Team Members are occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or step stool
  • Minimum 1 year of Guest Services experience
  • Team Members are expected to deliver the position as described under various weather conditions including but not limited to sun, rain, snow, sleet
  • Level 1 or 2 occupational first aid is an asset
  • Previous experience in public speaking is an asset
  • Team Members must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions in the dark
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Second language is an asset
