Overnight Houseperson Jobs

The Overnight Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. This is a fast paced position. The Full time overnight houseperson will maintain the cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwell, public space and public vending areas, fold linens and assist night audit in order to maintain high standards of quality.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*

• Delivery of amenities to guests as requested.
• Fold and stock linens and towels in the service area
• Stock the service area and back office with food, beverage and sundry items.
• Maintain the cleanliness of public space (atrium, lobby, public restrooms, vending areas, corridors and stairwells) as well as the restaurants
• Remove room service food trays from the guest corridors.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, the overnight houseman may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

• Walk of the parking lot to remove trash
• Other duties as assigned such as assisting night audit with phones or guest interaction as requested.
• Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
• Respond to guest questions. Provide guest assistance, directions, and information as requested.

Required Experience:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
Basic ability to comprehend the English language sufficient to understand and communicate information for reasons such as safety and security; for example product safety labels and emergency instructions.

Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience:
Previous Hotel House Person And/or Janitorial Experience Preferred.

None required.
