Description


International Tool Operator - Oil States Energy Services (Canada) Inc. specializes in custom designed wellhead isolation equipment for high pressure stimulation services on oil or gas wells. Our International Division located in Red Deer, Canada is currently seeking an International Tool Operator. An International Tool Operator II functions outside of their home country to competently install, maintain, and remove wellhead isolation tools while representing Oil States in a highly professional manner and respecting the cultural diversities of the foreign countries in which they work. We will consider applicants to be trained and developed as a junior level 1 International Tool Operator.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Capable of making independent decisions, troubleshooting, and consulting without supervision
  • Ensure that working inventory of well-maintained equipment is upheld
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager
  • Consistently and effectively carry out recertification on OSES equipment that is utilized internationally
  • Expertly install, remove and maintain various isolation tools without supervision
  • Attend and participate in meetings held with Oil Company and Service representatives on behalf of OSES
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Adhere to all company Operational and Safety policies and Industry standards
  • Possess a good knowledge of company tools and services to promote sales
  • Develop and retain strong, reputable customer relations


Requirements


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Calculate hydraulic forces
  • Ability to proficiently operate hand tools
  • Display a high degree of competence and professionalism in all circumstances while working
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Intermediate math and basic algebra skills
  • Calculate flow rates and formulas


Qualification Requirements


  • A minimum of 3 years previous Oil States isolation tool experience or minimum of 4 years of external company isolation tool experience
  • Must have a valid passport
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to travel for extensive amount of days and be on call 24/7 on regularly scheduled days


Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Requires exposure to moderate noise levels
  • Requires pushing, pulling, bending, standing, kneeling, carrying, sitting, climbing for extended periods of time each day
  • Successfully pass fit to work medical and drug test

  • 3 years: A minimum of 3 years previous Oil States isolation tool experience or minimum of 4 years of external company isolation tool experience. However, we will consider applicants and provide training for a suitable level 1 International Tool Operator.
