Organization
The Howmet engines business produces world-class aerospace engine components, including investment castings, fasteners, rings and forgings. Our vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts enable the next generation of quieter, cleaner and more fuel-efficient aerospace engines. Able to supply more than 90% of structural and rotating aerospace engine components.
Responsibilities
POSITION PURPOSE
This position is primarily responsible for grinding and cleaning off gates on the parts.
Typical Job Duties

• Grinding gate flush to the surface where operator use a variety of handheld tools.
• Respects the Environment, Health & Safety programs of the company.
• Respects the values and code of ethics of the company.

Qualifications
COMPETENCY PROFILE
Education High School Diploma or equivalent
Professional Designation
None
Experience Ninety days to six months on the job training required for acceptable proficiency.
Job Skills
Must read, write, and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
Must acquire knowledge for acceptable/nonacceptable requirements for castings by being able to interpret and understand visual specifications as outlined by our customers and engineers.
