SPECIAL EVENT TEAM MEMBER POSITION:

Impact Kitchen is looking for a team player to fill the seasonal Special Events Team Member position. This role will be responsible for supporting daily Special Events deliveries and events, to include: preparing and picking up pre-ordered Meals from the Commissary Kitchen, travelling to the Event site in a company Van, unpacking and serving Meals, cleaning and repacking Van, and then returning to the Commissary Kitchen to unload. The successful candidate will be an excellent multitasker that enjoys working alongside a small Special Events Team to provide an exceptional customer experience for our Special Events customers.

SCHEDULE & DURATION:

• Paid Training - tentative start date mid-March (to be confirmed upon hire)
• 7 month seasonal position (early April to October, with opportunity for permanent employment at Impact Kitchen restaurants afterwards)
• Daily Special Events - tentative start date April 1st (to be confirmed upon hire)
• Must be available to work a flexible work schedule

LOCATION: Impact Kitchen, Commissary Kitchen, 573 King Street East

• Travelling to Rogers Centre, 1 Blue Jays Way, Toronto, ON M5V 1J1

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Serve guests their pre-ordered meal and other items, assisting with food, drink, and nutritional inquiries, while providing above & beyond service
• Unpack van; set up and break down serving areas; set up daily Meals, beverages, cutlery, and smallwares needed to effectively serve all food products
• Package and organize meals and supplies from Commissary Kitchen and load van
• Support with light food preparation as requested by the Special Events Kitchen Manager
• Cleaning, sanitation and maintenance of Special Events serving stations, equipment, food production spaces, and Van
• Complete closing duties at the end of each event, return to Commissary Kitchen, and unload van
• Professionalism standards to be adhered to around athletes and staff
• Accomplish all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift, including following all COVID-19 Safety Protocols
• Travel to and from daily Special Events location, supporting with driving Van if able
• Report any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the Special Events Kitchen Manager
• Assist the other Special Events staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize guest experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
• Hospitality-related kitchen or front-of-the-house experience preferred
• Able to work in both a standing and a sitting position for extended periods of time
• Comfortable in a locker room-type environment
• Exceptional Customer service skills
• Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to lift up to 50 LBS
• Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team-based setting
• Food Handlers certificate is an asset but not required
• G driver license with a clean driving record is an asset but not required
• Strict adherence to company, municipal and provincial guidelines as they are related to food safety and safe workplace environments
• Self-motivated with a high energy level
