Night Shift Supervisor Jobs

Alpa Pre-Engineered Panel Systems Inc., a part of the Alpa Lumber Group, is a leading provider of pre-engineered walls and floors to GTA home builders. We work with a team of designers, engineers, and production staff to help create the communities we live in.

Alpa Pre-Engineered Panel Systems Inc. is currently seeking a night shift supervisor to join our team in the Bowmanville location! The supervisor is responsible for all aspects of production assembly operations, from material flow to daily staff management. The supervisor will be reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Help manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results;
• Evaluate and report on the condition of production equipment;
• Ensure that production plans are completed by a certain time;
• Train and assess employees;
• Communicate with and assist other manufacturing departments as needed;
• Advise on cost-saving strategies and techniques;
• Other duties as assigned.
• Enforce company policies and guidelines;
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for all employees;
• Discipline and coach employees as policy and procedure dictates;

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

• Strategic planning skills;
• Previous supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is an asset;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to track production levels;
• Broad knowledge of production processes;
• Understanding of various machine controls and instrumentation.
• Knowledge or previous experience in house construction or carpentry framing and asset but not required;
