About The Role
Calian Composites is looking for dynamic and passionate Technologist to join our team! Reporting to the Manager of Composite Engineering, you will be an integral member and will be responsible for the composite design, development, and manufacturing of new and existing products.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• You will produce and maintain engineering and manufacturing documentation such as drawings instructions, bill of materials, flat patterns, and quality documentation
• You will participate in quality control and assist with process flow and improvements
• You will perform routine inspection of components using a laser tracker and other methods for the purpose of quality control and tooling maintenance and generating the associated reports
• You will inspect incoming shipments containing tolerance-based parts from vendors
• You will maintain metrology and inspection equipment
• You will design and manufacture jigs and fixtures, as well as produce the guides for production
• You will work with in SAP to create new materials, and manage engineering change requests

The Skills And Experience You Have

• Experience with both metallic and composite materials and manufacturing is considered an asset
• You enjoy dynamic work environments with lots of opportunities to work hands on
• A two-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering, CAD/CAM Engineering, Engineering Design and Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline
