Working as a Network Administrator at Om Tech means operating on the cutting-edge of innovation and the epicenter of strategy and solutions in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment. A key member of our Professional and Managed Services team, we’ll rely on you to be versatile, “go-to” problem solver for a variety of technologies, issues, and initiatives on a variety of network technologies including Next-Generation Firewalls, SD-WAN, Load balancing, and Routing and Switching in both traditional and cloud-based environments.

What you’ll do:

• Provide thorough ticket updates and knowledge articles to guide future incidents and problems.
• Follow ITIL practices regarding incident, problem, and change management.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment.
• Perform network administration on firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, etc.
• Evaluate and install networking software, network devices (physical and virtual), and software applications.
• Provide problem-solving services to network users.
• Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks.
• Work closely with internal partners and managers to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer environments.
• May supervise other workers in this group.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Experienced with the following security technologies (IPSec/SSL VPN’s, IDS/IPS, UTM, WAF)
• Network Management experience (Nagios, Cacti, Syslog, SNMP, Network analyzers)
• Excellent multi-tasking skills
• 5+ years of experience with networking fundamentals and advanced troubleshooting
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and network fundamentals
• Implementation experience configuring routers and switches (Cisco, Brocade) • Hands-on experience with industry-leading firewall products (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco)
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytics skills
• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure support including a focus on customer service and technical assistance.
• Experience with ticketing and monitoring systems

Qualifications and Education:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as Network Administrator/System Admin or Network Analyst
• Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in computer science or relevant field.
