Garaventa Lift is a leading accessibility manufacturer. We have a position open for an experienced welder (Afternoon Shift). We are looking for enthusiastic people who would like to learn to weld and work in our fab shop. Some duties of a welder are to operate equipment to put together metal parts or structures. The potential candidate must be able to read operating manuals. They must also be able to read and interpret welding drawings, specifications, and manuals.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Locate pieces of metal according to design specifications.
• Other duties as delegated by management.
• Report on non-conformance parts.
• Ensure safety policies and practices are followed.
• Perform MIG/stick welding.
• Use semi-automatic flame cutting, plasma cutting, and/or brazing equipment.
• Read and interoperate blueprints and manufacturing drawings.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of welding experience in a shop environment.
• Lift 50 LBS.
• Pass welding test.
• Level B or C ticket.
