$90,000 / annum
Under the guidance of the Executive Director, this role will be responsible for leading various projects across several teams, helps create processes and execute strategies to ensure projects are developed timely, researching, and developing new products, building project budgets, and overseeing the successful execution of projects.
Qualifications
Completion of a Mechanical Engineering degree or a Mechanical Technologist diploma, with 10+ years’ experience.
Minimum of 5 years in engineering, within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 5 years supervising and managing a team of technicians.
Proficiency using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders.
Hands on experience using CAD and SolidWorks platforms.
French language skillset is an asset.

Job Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing designs, implementations, and refining product development for all divisions.
Build, implement and manage BOM and costing procedures, in conjunction within engineering drawings and production output.
Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel within the department.
Collaborates with sales on customer requests, and leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes. Act as technical support to the sales group from production capabilities for prospective products.
Responsible for overseeing and managing engineering project logistics, resource allocation, technical outsourcing, and internal routing improvements.
Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
Create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies, in collaboration with manufacturing and ownership.
Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
Creates and defines engineering processes that meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
Collaborates with manufacturing and purchasing to maintain and manage proper engineering processes for resale products.
Participate, lead and own, mechanical engineering projects through the Stagegate process, in collaboration with other internal departments.
Support Technical Sales Managers, with customer inquires or related site visits for mechanical product development opportunities.
