Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer Manager, the Senior Mechanical Designer is responsible for all aspects of mechanical design (concept, development, validation) requiring autonomy and hands-on activity with manufacturability, assembly, service, and operational efficiency in mind. The Senior mechanical designer will also analyze and understand the root cause of issues and propose creative and simple solutions, and to support junior designers and drafters when needed.

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer with the following:

• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Able to analyze needs and product requirements to create a design.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, (Ideally of : Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, CADLink)
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Able to generate or adapt equipment and technology to serve user needs.
• 3+ year of experience in machine design, ideally in the packaging industry
• 5+ year of experience in role requiring CAD and Solidworks
• Able to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to mechanical problems.
• Minimum of Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
