Meat Associate (Full Time)

Otter Co-op invites applications for the Full Time position of Meat Department Associate located at our retail center at: 3650 248th Street, Aldergrove.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Perform clean up duties as required.
• Prepare/package product for sale.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Loading and unloading of product.
• Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
• Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats, poultry or fish and may wrap prepared meats, poultry, fish and shellfish.
• Cut, trim, and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat, poultry, fish and shellfish for sale.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
• Must be able demonstrate
• Grind meats using powered grinders and slicing machines.
• Stock product to cases and shelves.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous meat department experience an asset but not required.
• Motivation to learn and grow within the role.
• Experience meat cutting is required.
• Must be able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer service skills.
• MUST be available 7 days a week between 6:30am and 6:30pm.
