Materials Coordinator Jobs

Progesys is currently looking for a Materials Coordinator to join a mining project in Newfoundland and Labrador.

This position will work Monday to Friday and transition to a site-based role, working a 2 week in/2 week out rotation.

Main Responsibilities

• To interface with the Quality Manager to ensure material control programs are aligned with the Quality Management Plan
• Develop and establish a standardized Materials Management philosophy across the Project
• Liaise with the Procurement team to coordinate material delivery to site and Oversee deliveries between supply locations
• Unload deliveries in timely and accurate manner
• Prepare Material Receipt Reports, OSD Reports, Material Issue Vouchers
• To prepare in collaboration with the Construction Manager the material management plans within the overall construction strategies and schedules
• Interface with the Project Manager and Construction Manger on project setup to establish the site materials management program, including warehouse, laydown, and equipment requirements
• Ensure that the Material preservation is done as per the Vendors’ Recommendations & Requirements
• Develop and roll out a Material and Inventory Control Program for tracking materials in accordance with the Project Quality Management Plan
• Perform, along with the Quality department, the Material Receipt Inspection
• Manage inventory accuracy and provide inventory reports as required

Requirements

• Strong skills in MS Office
• Professional attitude and superior communication skills
• Pro-active and able to manage multiple priorities
• Minimum of 10 + years’ experience in a similar position
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• College degree or equivalent
• Camp/shift experience required
• At least 5 years of engineering and/or construction project experience, experience in materials management, and logistics an asset
• Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
