What We Require

• Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs.).
• Must be goal oriented with a positive, “can do” attitude.
• Punctuality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstract.
• Previous professional driving experience is required.
• Ability to deliver a variety of food service products including dairy, seafood, and pork.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency (written and spoken).
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Prior physical labour experience is required.

Responsibilities Include

• Manually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 - 1000 cases/shift).
• Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices.
• Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routes.
• Following health and safety and safe work procedures.
• Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reporting.
• Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships.
