About the role

As a Class 5/Yard Attendant, you will be responsible for keeping the work environment clean and tidy, complying with all safety regulations and procedures, cleaning and organizing portable restrooms and fence panels in our yard or the client’s site, as well as helping deliver and pick up fence panels and portable toilets around the city. What you’ll be doing

• Clean and sanitary portable restrooms in the company yard and the client’s site
• General cleaning of the building/yard and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Assisting in loading and unloading delivery trucks
• Use power tools and operate equipment such as forklift and Bobcat (consider an asset)
• Provide any assistance to the team when asked and perform other duties as assigned
• Performing small project-based work as needed
• Use clear, effective, and cordial communication with clients, co-workers, and management.
• Complete daily tasks most productively and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Maintain all pieces of equipment by routinely inspecting, conducting minor repairs, and notifying the supervisor or manager of major repairs.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the assigned truck and always maintain a professional image.
• General maintenance and inspections of trucks according to the checklist

What we’re looking for

• Ability to lift 70 lbs
• Great communication skills
• Desire to grow with the business – we offer training in our different areas: Plumbing, Excavations
• A class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract is required
• Good knowledge of the city routes and ability to use tracking systems and tablets
• Mechanical and familiar with power tools - an asset
• Ability to work outside for extended periods year-round.
• Be positive, energetic and reliable
• Positive attitude
• Experience in delivery driving, general labourer, car wash, and cleaning is an asset
• Own transportation as there is no bus service to our site
• Ability to work alone or with a team
