Position Summary

The Delivery Service Rep. will be responsible for making deliveries to our customers. This position is located out of Kamloops.

WAGE

• Starting hourly wage is $30.62 per hour, Eligible to go to top rate of $35.76 per hour after completing 12 months
• Eligible to move to the pay for performance program after 3 months

HOURS OF WORK

• 40 hours/week, with opportunity for overtime
• Four (4) 10-hour days with 3 days off per week

Requirements

• Class 1 license with clean drivers abstract
• Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment.
• Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs)
• This position requires punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be goal oriented with a positive “can-do” attitude.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Manager, Assistant Transportation Manager and/or dispatcher for work assignments, changes in assignments and on-time delivery performance.
• Perform proper equipment maintenance, monitor reefer temperature, and report mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.
• Correctly offloading product, recording of delivery information,accepting payment for goods when required, and ensuring operational vehicle safety in all aspects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complete daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. Completes check in process accurately and on time. Manage paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc.
