Job Description

We are looking for awesome, self-driven Personal Support Workers or an Internationally Trained Nurse to start immediately!


Shift Details


  • Live-in shifts every Sunday @ 4pm - Thursday @ 4pm for client located in Scarborough


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans
  • Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises
  • Provide companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a senior stay at home)
  • Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth
  • Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
  • Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description
  • Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly
  • Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly

Requirements


  • Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate
  • Valid CPR and/or First Aid Certificate
  • An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)
  • Personal Support Worker Certification or International nursing diploma
  • Negative TB Test completed within the last year
  • COVID Vaccination Receipts
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed
  • Valid Criminal Record Check with vulnerable adult sector cleared - must be completed within the last year
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English

  • 8-hours of uninterrupted rest in a private room within the client's home
  • Rate of pay is $240 CAD/day

  • 24/7 nursing over sire should you need additional support or guidance
