Greener Homes Inc. is a Victoria-based company of licenced energy advisors and energy management professionals who have grown to become a leading provider of home energy assessments and energy consulting services across British Columbia. We are seeking a third full-time energy advisor to join our Victoria team.
Responsibilities:
·Conduct comprehensive residential energy assessments to identify areas for improvement and provide energy-saving recommendations.
·Analyze building characteristics, evaluate the performance of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, and assess insulation and air sealing measures.
·Utilize energy modelling software to perform accurate energy simulations and develop customized energy improvement plans.
·Communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner to clients, enabling them to make informed decisions about energy-saving upgrades.
·Maintain a strong understanding of energy efficiency regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
·Collaborate with team members and contractors to successfully implement energy-saving measures.
·Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the energy efficiency field to provide innovative solutions to clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport and trust with clients throughout the energy assessment process.
Requirements:
·Must have passed the NRCan Foundation Level and Energy Advisor House exams and completed the probationary files required for the certification.
·Proven experience conducting residential energy assessments is an asset.
·Familiarity with energy modelling software, such as HOT2000, is an asset.
·Strong knowledge of building science principles and energy efficiency measures.
·Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
·Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
·Commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
·Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
·Valid BC driver's license with reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time, 30 to 40 hours per week
Compensation: $80,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually with paid vacation, extended health and dental plan access, and allowances for home office and vehicle use.
