  • Job type: Full-Time | Temporary
  • Shifts: Monday - Friday | 8 am to 4:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Stay updated on the commission's policies and procedures
  • Prepare letters, documents, and other materials based on given instructions or precedents
  • Provide general information to the public and clients
  • Conduct interviews to assess financial and service eligibility
  • Utilize shorthand or dictation machines to transcribe documents on a computer
  • Schedule appointments for professional staff and escalate unusual situations to supervisors
  • Manage client files, filing systems, and databases
  • Perform various clerical tasks, including mail handling and statistical record maintenance
  • Fulfill other related administrative support, accounting, or computer-related tasks as assigned
  • Handle phone calls, in-person inquiries, and message relay


Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Minimum of one year of Legal administrative experience is necessary for this role
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
  • Proficiency in operating switchboard equipment, typing, word processing, and transcribing from dictating machines
  • High school graduation and one year of relevant post-secondary education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
