Description
The Leadership Instructor will deliver training courses to P2L clients live in person or virtually over the internet as required by our clients. In keeping with P2L’s core values and philosophy, training andcontent development activities will be strategically linked to the client organization’s mission and vision. The intent of all courses will be to move the needle for the organizations we serve. This involves delivering training concepts that are delivered through a lens of a day in the life of the participant, and the people you instruct will come away believing they can do their job better with the knowledge and tools they have learned.
Essential Skills:
Facilitating Leadership and Employee Development Programs
•Helps employees identify specific behaviours that will contribute to service excellence.
•Coach managers to enhance their own performance and to improve the performance of employees.
•Develops specific training programs to improve service performance.
•Works with leadership team to determine development needs of managers.
•Designs, develops, and delivers a management development program to build effective management skills.
•Drives brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities.
Content Development
•The ideal instructor has content they have developed for the courses listed in the first paragraph of this listing.
•Has excellent skills with all phases of the content development cycle, including needs analysis, planning, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and editing.
•Develops or has developed participant and instructor materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, job aids, etc).
•Develops or has developed self-paced eLearning, instructor-led training (both in-person and virtual classroom material).
•Works well with HR and L&D organizations review all curriculum components with their subject matter experts based on evaluation/feedback.
•Develops updated curriculum as required by results and as times change.
•Works with team to monitor and evaluate training program, assess results, implement enhancements, and provide recommendations for training program effectiveness.
Managing and Administering Employee Training
•Uses effective training methods to ensure employees have a good understanding of competencies and can demonstrate the proper knowledge, skills and abilities once the course is completed.
•Makes any necessary adjustments to training methodology and/or can re-train individuals as appropriate.
•Ensures adult learning principles are incorporated into training programs.
Evaluating Training Program Effectiveness
•Aligns current training and development programs to effectively impact key business indicators.
•Ensures all training and development activities are strategically linked to the organization’s mission and vision.
•Measures transfer of learning from training courses back to the business.
•Tracks key business indicators to determine the effectiveness of current training and development programs.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
•Excellent facilitation skills
•Strong writing and editing skills
•Instruction Design experience
•Content/Curriculum Development
•Strong communication and relationship management skills
•High Influencing and consulting skills
•A good understanding of the learning and development industry
•Ability to work independently to support delivery.
•Travel to client locations to support training needs at multiple locations
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
•Program/Project Management
•Stakeholder management
•Learning Management System experience
•Articulate 360, Vyond, Adobe Illustrator, Midjourney AI
Education/Certification/License:
•Bachelor’s Degree
•At least 5-7 years of related experience in talent development
Leadership Instructor Required on a Contract Basis (One-off or delivering a full program to a client)
