Our Electricians are responsible for installing and maintaining renewable energy generation and backup power electrical systems in accordance with current electrical codes and customer specifications, for performing jobs safely plus efficiently, and for keeping customers and equipment running. Requirements:
Certified journeyperson with a 309A license
Valid drivers’ licence with a clean abstract, comfortable driving with a trailer, AZ, or DZ is an asset over a G
Experience in the commercial and industrial industries
Experience with networked equipment
Strong troubleshooting abilities

Able to organize subordinates and materials for remote worksites
Must be able to work at heights, able to operate elevated work equipment
Typical decision-making or problem solving:
Efficient conduit and wiring layout, material selection, and installation
Systematically resolving issues (for example, material requirements at the job site; customer concerns)
Dealing with changing client requests, and deciding on the best course of action to satisfy the client
Troubleshooting repairs logically and efficiently

Rate: $35-38/hour (commiserate of relevant experience and qualifications)

The Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting circuitry and replacing damaged components on renewable energy generation equipment and systems
Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
Demonstrating your commitment to safety in the workplace
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
Leadership skills enabling you to successfully run small jobs in a timely manner with little to no supervision
Installing conduit and wire and terminating conductors
Installing fixtures and devices for industrial applications and systems
Ordering required parts and controlling all job materials using our computer system
Completing work orders as per client specifications and input; reviewing the completed job with the customer, to ensure complete satisfaction
Reporting and updating project status at critical phases, and time management tracking
Reporting time and materials used for invoicing purposes
The Requirements:
A valid 309A electrical license
Relevant electrical experience, preferably in an industrial setting
Solid knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code (OEC)
A valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record – drivers abstract to be provided
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Must be available for overtime shifts as required
