Junior / Intermediate Interior Designer

We are a design studio that specializes in residential renovations. We provide residential interior design services for single home dwellings in the Toronto Area.

A contract position for a Junior/ Intermediate Interior Designer is now open for a qualified candidate to join our growing team. There is a strong potential for ongoing employment for the ideal candidate.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who will contribute to all aspects of design.

From gathering input from clients, preparing presentations, to aiding in the production of final trade drawings.

This is an amazing opportunity for a designer who is passionate about interior design. Strong communication and organization skills are a must. Time management, attention to detail and creative thinking are required qualities. Our requirements are:

• Experience in 3D renderings preferred
• High Proficiency in AutoCad, Sketchup, and Photoshop is an absolute must
• Detailed oriented and organized
• Experience in millwork or has interest to learn about and work with millwork
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• 2 - 4 years of work experience in an interior design firm
• Access to car / drivers license
• Lives in GTA, Toronto

This position requires a vehicle as the successful candidate will be traveling to job sites, suppliers and clients.

Key Responsiiblities:

• Millwork design / shop drawings and order processing
• Auto-CAD drawings
• Communication with clients, contractors and design team
• Participate in meetings and presentations with clients
• Quote and ordering of products
• Source finishes, furniture and decor in consideration of project vision/budget
• Presentation drawings & mood-boards using photoshop
• Site measures, site meetings with trades
